Safety Is Parker's Core Value

Safety is our number one priority. While you are visiting our facility, you are expected to follow our safety rules, including wearing the badge given to you upon your entrance here and returning the badge when you exit.

In addition to the rules below, we remind you that cell phones and cameras are not to be used in the facility for the purpose of taking photos or videos.

Also, smoking is prohibited except in the designated outdoor areas.

Safety Rules

Parker enforces all safety rules within our facility and insists on complete cooperation from all visitors.

Safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, long pants and hearing protection are required in all manufacturing and production areas unless stated otherwise.

Pedestrians and forklifts share travel paths. Keep your eye on your path – watch and listen for any approaching forklifts. Use the available elevated dome mirrors at aisle intersections.

• For the safety of our visitors, a safety vest is required to be worn when in the manufacturing and distribution areas.

• In the event of an evacuation, all visitors are required to exit the building via the nearest evacuation route, report to the nearest evacuation “Reporting Area” and check in with the area manager.

• All chemical items brought into the facility must receive prior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) approval.

• All on-site injuries or illnesses or property damage must be immediately reported to your facility representative, on-site supervisor/manager or EHS representative.

Contractors are required to complete on-site safety orientation before starting work and must follow the facility’s safety rules/procedures.

• Due to some areas which present radio frequency hazards, please notify facility personnel if you are a pacemaker wearer.

Emergencies

If You Encounter an Emergency
• Please remain calm.
• Contact facility representative, on-site supervisor or EHS representative and immediately alert them of the emergency.
• If qualified, assess the situation and begin administering appropriate First Aid, CPR or assistance as needed.

In the Event of a Fire
• Stop working and calmly evacuate the area.
• Follow the nearest evacuation route and proceed to the nearest outdoor “Reporting Area.”
• Immediately report to the “Reporting Area” manager so that we may properly account for everyone.
• Remain in the “Reporting Area” until the all clear is given by the area manager.

In the Event of a Tornado
• Stop working and calmly evacuate the area.
• Follow the nearest evacuation route and proceed to the nearest “Tornado Shelter.”
• Immediately report to the “Tornado Shelter” manager so that we may properly account for everyone.
• Remain in the “Tornado Shelter” until the all clear is given by the area manager.

Facility Alarm System
• Fire Alarm (stutter tone) – Evacuate to the nearest outdoor “Reporting Area.”
• Alarm with severe weather message – Seek cover at the nearest “Tornado Shelter.”
